Behind the Applications
We searched the world and took three years before we chose a variety of software products to produce our software. We use Cache from Intersystems as our underlying technology. We chose Crystal Reports as our reporting technology. We chose @Net Manager for our web based user Interface.
Practical and Robust technology
Sale G8 is web enabled, so it can run anywhere without Terminal Services, or Citrix Licenses. However the practical requirements of running real time point-of-sale and auctioning sometimes require it can run as a system locally. So while the technology offers flexibility, the design of the system has not ignored the practicalities of getting on with the job, internet connection or not.
InterSystems Corporation is an established technology company with twenty-five years of experience providing reliable, high-performance software products that power over 100,000 systems, used by more than four million people around the world.
In 1997 it introduced Caché — a high-performance data management and rapid application development environment. Optimized for the quick creation of Web-based transaction processing applications, Caché is used by independent software vendors (ISVs) and organizations in healthcare, finance, government, and many other areas. Its adoption by application developers has made Cach?the leading embedded database in the United States.
Caché is a post-relational database that uniquely offers three integrated data access options: a robust object database, high performance SQL, and rich multidimensional access. Caché enables rapid Web application development, extraordinary transaction processing speed, massive scalability, and real-time queries against transactional data — with minimal maintenance requirements.
Caché is available for Windows, OpenVMS, Linux and major UNIX platforms and it is deployed on systems ranging from two to over 10,000 simultaneous users. Caché enables rapid Web application development, extraordinary transaction processing speed, massive scalability, and real-time queries against transactional data — with minimal maintenance requirements.
MYCO has also utilized a product called @Net (using Caché) and written by Intraprend in Germany. It allows MYCO to write browser based Rapid Application Development (RAD) systems in a fraction of the time normally required, resulting in huge savings for our clients.
